An escape room is a fun exciting indoor game. Players get placed in a themed room for about an hour.  They search for clues and solve puzzles, work together and try to escape before their time is up!

No, our Torture Chamber themed room does have a haunted house feel to the set design of the room.  However, there are no actors jumping out at you.  The elements in the room are meant to intrigue rather than scare you. Our Conspiracy Theory Room is a 70’s inspired room and not scary at all. Pet Snatched is kid friendly.  While the games are mostly played by adults, Pet Snatched is very kid friendly and can accommodate children of all ages, but we recommend 8 years and older (with adult supervision of course).

YES! We only offer private games.  All games booked will just be you, your friends, and your family.

Our Standard games, The Torture Chamber and Pet Snatched can be booked for 2-12 players per game.  Torture Chamber requires 2 players to physically play the game. Our Premium game Woodbury’s Wizarding School can be booked for 2-8 people and physically requires 2 players to play the game. Currently Pet Snatched is themed as Grandma’s Christmas Caper and also can be booked for 2-12 players.  Pet Snatched will return 1/21/2022. Our Fourth game is a Premium game entitled Spy vs Spy and it will be opening around March 2022.  You will be able to book Spy vs Spy for 4-12 players and it will require 4 players to physically play the game.

We welcome players celebrating a birthday! Happy Birthday! While we’re NOT set up to serve cake and ice cream, nor do we have a party room, we are still a birthday stop favorite.  Most people come and play their escape room with us and then go out to pizza and/or ice cream afterwards.

It is up to the parent or legal guardian to decide if their child is mature enough to handle the room, and the subject matter of the games.  We have had players of all ages play our games.  See our recommendations below.

We recommend 13 and up for Torture Chamber because it is an escape from a serial killer, gory themed room. We don’t want to scare the kiddos! For our Woodbury’s Wizarding School we recommend 13 and up because it has some dramatic effects that could startle young players.  Pet Snatched (which is temporarily Grandma’s Christmas Caper until 1/21/2022) is kid friendly and we recommend 8 and up.  However, many puzzles would be too complex for children that age, so there should be (but it’s not required) at least one adult player when players are aged 12 and under.  Players 13 and up could easily play alone.

Unfortunately we only have three rooms in Elk Grove, CA, and we’re currently working on one more additional room,  with an approximate release date of March 2022.

We do not allow cancellations or refunds of any kind.  We do however, allow you to change the time and/or date of your booking up to two days ahead of your scheduled booking date and time.  When the purchaser of a game agrees to our terms and conditions, they agree that there are no cancellations.  This insures that we properly staff our games and that you don’t take up spots that could be sold to another group of people. We often sell out days ahead of time and every week we turn away about 20-30 players because of this.  We appreciate your cooperation and understanding regarding our strictly enforced cancellation policy.

Probably. Give us a call or send us an email and we can probably schedule a special off hours game when booking 8 or more tickets (all 8 players don’t have to play, but the minimum price will equate to an 8 player game). Our cancellation policy is STRICTLY enforced with special off hour bookings.

If it’s a Holiday we might be closed.  Check our Google business page for our holiday hours. If it’s not a holiday we are either fully booked or you are outside the time frame to book online which is anywhere from 15 minutes on the weekends to 8 hours during the weekday. Due to staffing limitations we are not currently open during the week but plan on adding more hours soon. Check our Google business page for updated hours.

Maybe? We try to answer every call we get during non-business hours asap.  This means sometimes we’re in the car (Bluetooth! no worries), at the store, getting pedicures, working our day job etc.  We want to answer any additional questions asap so we try to answer calls immediately.  However, we’re not always at a computer when you call and you may have to wait for us to book it for you, this means someone else could take your time slot.  The absolute fastest way to book a game that will be scheduled during our normal business hours with is to go online and book it yourself.

We don’t recommend attempting a walk in appointment, but it’s theoretically possible.  Often, we have back to back booked games with no availability.  Every now and then we have large gaps between booked games, and in those cases we’ll close up shop and give the employees a break for a few hours.  If you walk in, at the perfect time, and we happen to have an open time slot, we will of course let you play the game! It’s just hard to find that magical time slot without booking ahead of time.

Pet Snatched is our easiest game but is still a medium difficulty. Then we have Torture Chamber which has a medium difficultly and is slightly harder than Pet Snatched. Then we have our Woodbury’s Wizarding School which is our hardest game.  Until 1/21/2022, our Pet Snatched game is our temporary Grandma’s Christmas Caper.  That game is between a medium to hard difficulty because it has a few more puzzles than our other games.
