An escape room is a fun exciting indoor game. Players get placed in a themed room for about an hour. They search for clues and solve puzzles, work together and try to escape before their time is up!
No. Our Krampus themed room does have a haunted house feel to the set design of the room. However, there are no actors jumping out at you. The elements in the room are meant to intrigue rather than scare you. Our Spy vs Spy escape room is a 70’s inspired room and is not scary at all. Pet Snatched is kid friendly. Woodbury’s Wizarding School is as scary as other famous wizard movies, but does not have a haunted house feel.
YES! We only offer private games. All games booked will just be you, your friends, and your family.
Our Standard games, Krampus and Pet Snatched, can be booked for 2-12 players per game. Krampus requires 2 players to physically play the game. Our Premium game Woodbury’s Wizarding School can be booked for 2-8 people and physically requires 2 players to play the game. Our other Premium game Spy vs Spy can be booked for 4-12 people and physically requires 4 people to play the game.
We welcome players celebrating a birthday! Happy Birthday! While we’re NOT set up to serve cake and ice cream, nor do we have a party room, we are still a birthday stop favorite. Most people come and play their escape room with us and then go out to pizza and/or ice cream afterwards.
It is up to the parent or legal guardian to decide if their child is mature enough to handle the room, and the subject matter of the games. We have had players of all ages play our games. See our recommendations below.
We recommend 13 and up for Krampus, Woodbury’s Wizarding School, and Spy vs Spy. We recommend 8 and up for Pet Snatched.
Krampus: Our recommendations are based on the fact that because it is an escape from the bloody monster Krampus, and it is a gory themed room it’s better to have older player in there. We don’t want to scare the kiddos!
Woodbury’s Wizarding School: We recommend 13 and up because it has some dramatic effects that could startle young players.
Spy vs Spy: We recommend players 13 and up because there are a few very complex puzzles in there to solve.
Pet Snatched: We recommend 8 and up because it is kid friendly. However, many puzzles would be too complex for children that age, so there should be (but it’s not required) at least one adult player when players are aged 12 and under. Players 13 and up could easily play alone.
Unfortunately we only have the four rooms in Elk Grove, CA.
We do not allow cancellations or refunds of any kind. We do however, allow you to change the time and/or date of your booking up to two days ahead of your scheduled booking date and time. When the purchaser of a game agrees to our terms and conditions, they agree that there are no cancellations. This insures that we properly staff our games and that you don’t take up spots that could be sold to another group of people. We often sell out days ahead of time and every week we turn away about 20-30 players because of this. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding regarding our strictly enforced cancellation policy.
Yes! Check out our Off Hour Game pricing under our book now section. Contact us for availability for one of our Off Hour Games. Our cancellation policy is STRICTLY enforced with special off hour bookings.
Check our Google business page for our hours. Some holidays we are closed. If you’re still experiencing issues we are either fully booked or you are outside the time frame to book online which is 5-15 minutes during normal hours and up to 24 hours for our special holiday bookings.
Maybe? We try to answer every call we get during non-business hours asap. This means sometimes we’re in the car (Bluetooth! no worries), at the store, getting pedicures, working our day job etc. We want to answer any additional questions asap so we try to answer calls immediately. However, we’re not always at a computer when you call and you may have to wait for us to book it for you, this means someone else could take your time slot. The absolute fastest way to book a game that will be scheduled during our normal business hours is to go online and book it yourself.
We don’t recommend attempting a walk in appointment, but it’s theoretically possible. Often, we have back to back booked games with no availability. Every now and then we have large gaps between booked games, and in those cases we’ll close up shop and give the employees a break for a few hours. If you walk in, at the perfect time, and we happen to have an open time slot, we will of course let you play the game! It’s just hard to find that magical time slot without booking ahead of time.
Pet Snatched is our easiest game but is still a medium difficulty. Next we have Spy vs Spy, this game is slightly harder than Pet Snatched, but still a medium difficulty. Spy has one of our most complicated puzzles in the entire establishment, but the rest of the puzzles are fairly straight forward. Then we have our Woodbury’s Wizarding School which is our next hardest game, but would be rated medium/hard. Then we have Krampus, which has a hard rating and is our most difficult game. The game is a split start room that relies heavily on communication and attention to detail.
